Start your journey with a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains, passing the city of Tetouan. We’ll pause at the foot of the Rif Mountains in Chefchaouen to fully enjoy the breathtaking landscape. The medina of Chefchaouen, influenced by Spanish architecture from its “Spanish Morocco” days, is filled with vibrant artisanal shops and colorful streets. Spend the evening relaxing at rooftop restaurants or cafes, or unwind at your riad with a refreshing breeze and beautiful views.
After a delicious breakfast, continue towards Volubilis, passing through Ouazzane and other villages in the Rif Mountains. Explore the remarkable Roman ruins at Volubilis and dive into Moroccan history. Next, stop in Meknes for lunch and visit the historic medina walls, Bab el Mansour gate, and the Moulay Ismail shrine. Later in the afternoon, proceed to Fes for your overnight stay.
Discover the oldest city in Morocco on a guided walking tour through its winding alleys and narrow streets. Visit the Royal Palace gate, the historic Jewish quarter—the first Mellah in Morocco dating back to the 16th century—and culturally rich sites including Al Qaraouine University, the oldest university in the region. You’ll also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, explore local cooperatives and enjoy panoramic views over the Medina of Fes.
Fes is divided into three parts: Fes el Bali (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with its maze of over 9,000 narrow streets fortified by walls; Fes Jdid (“New Fes”) which includes the Jewish quarter; and Ville Nouvelle, the modern city created during the French protectorate. Later in the day, drive to Rabat to explore the capital, then continue to Casablanca.
On the final day, travel from Casablanca to the charming coastal town of Assilah. Afterward, continue to Tangier where your tour concludes.
